Office of the Vice-President (Advancement)
Office of the VP (A) provides executive support to the Vice-President (Advancement) ensuring the core functions of the Advancement portfolio effectively deliver key services.
Advancement Services at Deakin is an area that provides critical centralised support to the Advancement Portfolio. Professionals in this area gather, organise, manage and disseminate information to enable Deakin Advancement to achieve its strategic goals. Advancement Services consists of Central Gifts Manager, Advancement Information Services and Research and Prospect Management.
Alumni Relations develops and co-ordinates communications between the university and our alumni community. We provide professional development and networking opportunities nationally and internationally in collaboration with formal Chapters, informal networks and various international alumni associations. We negotiate and deliver a range of exclusive benefits that are only available to our alumni community.
The Art Collection and Galleries Unit provides professional management for the University's Art Collection and the Deakin University Art Gallery.
The Commercial Events (Deakin Event Management Services) team delivers a broad spectrum of events for the University community including commercial hire and community use of its venues and facilities and fee for service, end to end project management of academic and research conferences. For full project management of conference services, our team of professionals will guide you through the event project time-lines and key milestones, step by step. Our fully integrated electronic conference and event software allows us the flexibility to manage your event, whether held on campus or externally.
The Community Relations team engages with our local communities in a number of positive and mutually beneficial ways. We actively support and contribute to the social, economic and cultural fabric of our local communities through our teaching, learning and research, our corporate education and partnership activities, sponsorship and our work integrated learning programs.
The Media Relations and Corporate Communications unit supports the University by profiling Deakin news, achievements and stories in print, radio, television and social media channels. In addition, we work in partnership with all areas of the University to support key strategic projects, coordinate internal communications and provide expert photographic services.
Donor Relations is the fundraising arm of the Deakin Advancement portfolio. Donor Relations pursues and secures philanthropic gifts to the University, and profiles Deakin in the wider community.
Corporate Events are responsible for the project management of the University's annual oration programs, and internal events.
The Head of Warrnambool Campus works closely with the Vice-President (Advancement) to advance the growth and excellence of Deakin's Warrnambool Campus. The Head of Warrnambool Campus engages, establishes and maintains partnerships with key individuals and organisations within the rural and regional communities that Deakin serves and represents Deakin University in regional Victoria, particularly in Warrnambool and Western Victoria.
