Digital file storage
Staff and students can store files on their Deakin network home directory, the H: drive, which you will have access to whenever you are connected to the Deakin network.

OneDrive for Business
Your personal library for business and study includes unlimited space in the cloud. There, you can upload, store and access documents, photos and other files from your computer or other device, and share them with your colleagues or fellow students. Browse articles on OneDrive for Business and Office 365 for more information.
It is not recommended but if you do decide to store files locally on your Deakin-managed desktop or laptop (D: drive), please ensure that you regularly back up your data, as it will not be backed up automatically.
If you're working with a group, you can set up a shared directory where you can store and share the files you're working on together.
- What is a Deakin file share or network share drive?
- Request a network file share.
- Share documents with Office 365.
Each day, we take a number of point-in-time copies of your home directory and network shares.
You can restore damaged or corrupted files to your home directory yourself.
