This project is designed to give individuals within the Deakin community a personal portal to relevant University resources, customised to their specific needs.
In designing the solution, eSolutions worked closely with faculties and divisions to define the needs of the University and each cohort. We then conducted focus groups to make sure the solutions anticipate and respond to audience needs.
The three-year project began rolling out to current students in late 2013, with alumni, prospective students and staff to follow. The Deakin Sync experience for students will allow them to book meeting rooms and top up their student cards, create and share documents, follow news on selected people and topics, and more — all within a seamless digital environment accessed via a single sign on.
Similar contextualised experiences for staff are now in development by the eSolutions team.
