Deakin hosts residential program on Patient Centered Care
3 – 8 September 2017
Waurn Ponds Estate
Deakin's Master of Clinical Leadership residential unit HME703; Clinicians, Consumers and their System will be held at Waurn Ponds Estate from Sept 3 – Sept 8 2017.
This program is a compulsory unit in the Clinical Leadership program but is also available as a single unit or as a conference for those who simply wish to upskill in this important area of learning.
This residential provides an intensive update in contemporary approaches to patient centred care and to clinical practice improvement.
The residential program provides an opportunity to learn from industry leaders and from participants about how health care is changing through a focus on quality and on the patient as consumer.
Quotes from attendees at this residential in 2016:
The content and focus on the consumer and our role (as clinician leaders) provided me with some great learnings and tools to take back into my workplace.
It went beyond my expectations by being powerful enough to change my opinions and break through my long held mental models.
In a nutshell, this was one of the most thought-provoking and informative courses in which I have had the privilege to participate.
