18 April 2018
6.00pm – 8.30pm
Geelong Waterfront Campus
Is the endless pursuit of happiness worthwhile? Join the alumni community at our annual Geelong event to find out.
Event details
In a society that seems to be constantly pushing us to be more successful, more productive, more positive, all with the ultimate promise of greater happiness, we tend to assume that more is better.
Through considering the theory and research on the science of happiness, or subjective wellbeing, Dr Melissa Weinberg uses psycho-education to challenge the way you think by improving your understanding of how we feel.
The seminar will be followed by drinks and canapés, so you can reconnect with other Deakin Alumni and Cloud Students.
You are welcome to bring along one guest – please advise their name at the time of booking.
Dr Melissa Weinberg
Dr Melissa Weinberg is Honorary Fellow of the Australian Centre on Quality of Life at Deakin University. Previously, Melissa was the Principal Research Fellow of the Australian Unity Wellbeing Index, a project that has tracked the subjective wellbeing of Australians since 2001.
