Deakin University School of Nursing and Midwifery is again proud to be offering an exciting Nurse Practitioner Masterclass over two days at our city corporate centre located on Collins Street in the CBD.
Event details
This masterclass is designed to support registrants in their continuing professional development related to the role and function of the nurse practitioner in Australia.
The overall aim is to provide the latest information on the scope of practice for nurse practitioners, current challenges and future directions, evidence based practice, advanced clinical health assessment, diagnostics and pathology, and updates on medicines and prescribing. Case study presentations cover the role of the nurse practitioner in mental health and drug and alcohol services, pain management, oncology/palliative care, older persons and stroke care, emergency care and primary health.
Presenters will include nurse practitioners as well as Deakin University, professional organisation, and industry specialists.
Please note that the program has been adjusted as a consequence of a number of events that recently occurred out of our control. Please see the amended program with changes in red.
Participants
Deakin's Nurse Practitioner Masterclass is available to endorsed nurse practitioners, nurse practitioner candidates and/or students (including those enrolled at other universities), nurses and multidisciplinary health professionals with an interest in advanced clinical practice.
Attendance certificates will be provided with Continuing Professional Development Points (CPDs) included.
