Superfoods or Supermyths- Brisbane Alumni Event
18 July 2018
6.00pm - 8.30pm
Sofitel Brisbane Central
Just what exactly makes a food 'super'? Join us at the annual Brisbane alumni seminar and networking event as Dr Tim Crowe presents Superfoods or Supermyths.
Superfood is a widely used catch-all phrase, common on the Internet and in the marketing of exotic (and normally expensive) fruits and vegetables. During his presentation Tim will reveal the truth behind some of the so called popular 'superfoods' and sort out the marketing hype from the reality. Tim will also emphasise the importance of food variety, and present his own list of 'Top ten foods to consume' he recommends to eat and will explain why they are so good for you.
The seminar will be followed by drinks and canapés, so you can reconnect with other Deakin Alumni.
