A $750,000 upgrade has improved audio visual technology for Deakin University's Warrnambool students and staff.

Three teaching spaces and seven meeting rooms have undergone upgrades including new technology, hardware and desks.

Assistant project manager Chris Taylor said the new facilities would ensure the Warrnambool campus technology was of the highest standards.

“It’s a very exciting project that will be more user-friendly and offers considerable changes and benefits to students and staff,” Mr Taylor said.

The work costing approximately $750,000 was carried out during October and November.

The upgrades include new displays for video conferencing, HydraPorts, and newly-shaped desks to allow all participants to have easy access to the screens.

Deakin University Warrnambool Director Alistair McCosh said the major upgrades in IT infrastructure was a real positive for the Warrnambool campus.

“It’s a significant investment to our digital capabilities at the Warrnambool campus and ensures both the student and staff experience is of the highest quality,” Mr McCosh said.
