Formula One Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2018

The promoter of this competition is Deakin University ABN 56 721 584 203 of 1 Gheringhap Street, Geelong VIC 3220 (Deakin).

Information on how to enter forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By entering the Competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. To be valid, entries must comply with these Terms and Conditions to be valid.

This competition is governed by the laws in force in the State of Victoria.

The Competition
The competition is free to enter and is open to all Deakin University Alumni who log in to the Deakin University Alumni Community Portal during the competition period.

Staff employed by Deakin University Advancement portfolio are not eligible to enter the competition.

Competition Period
The competition commences at 9am AEST on 30 January 2018 and closes at 9am AEST on 22 February 2018.

The Prize
There are three prizes in total. Three individual entrants will each win a single one day ticket to the 2018 Formula 1 Rolex Grand Prix in Melbourne including Pit Entry – Victory Suite hospitality tickets, Pit Lane Walk pass, Supercars Garage Tour and a Course Car Lap of Albert Park Circuit.

The total prize pool is valued up to $4500.00 AUD.

Spending money, meals and all other ancillary costs incurred as a result of taking the prize (including, without limitation, transport to and from the Event, entry into the Event, airline and/or airport taxes and transfers, where applicable) are not included in the prize and remain the responsibility of the winners. All elements of the prize must be taken to coincide with the Event and any element not taken at the time(s) stipulated will be taken to be forfeited.

The prizes cannot be substituted for cash.

The prize must be taken from 24/03/18 in Melbourne. The winner has no ability to change the prize package inclusions and no ability to change the dates that the prize is to be taken.

Three winners will be drawn randomly from those eligible.

Prizes will be awarded and offered in the order that they are drawn.

The winner acknowledges and agrees that the prize is not a Deakin managed event and that by accepting the 2018 Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix package the winner agrees to be bound by the Conditions of Sale and Entry of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation in relation to the use of the package (details of which are included on the tickets or may be accessed from the 2018 Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix website).

Winners acknowledge and agree that by entering this competition:

Entrants who log in to the Deakin University Alumni Community Portal during the competition period will automatically receive one entry in the competition.  Entrants will only be registered for this competition once regardless of how many times they log in.

The prize draw will be conducted on 26 February 2018 at the Deakin Alumni Office, Deakin University, Waurn Ponds Campus.

The winner will be notified by one or more of email, SMS and in writing. The names of the winner will be published online at http://www.deakin.edu.au/alumni within 15 days of the draw date. Winners will be sent the relevant ticketing and information to attend the event.

If the winner does not respond to claim the prize within 14 days of the draw, a re-draw will be conducted within 16 days of the original draw date and the substituted winner will be notified as set out in paragraph 17.

Prizes are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash. Deakin University’s decision is final and binding - no correspondence will be entered into. Deakin accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way.

If the winner has to cancel their attendance at 2018 Formula 1 Rolex Grand Prix before the event, the Deakin Alumni Office has the authority to redraw the winner and the substituted winner will be notified as set out in paragraph 17.

Entrants consent to Deakin using their name, image or voice for promotional purposes. Winners agree to make themselves available for a photograph and interview in the event and if requested by Deakin.
