Beyond the Testamur - Libraries and Lifelong Learning for Alumni

Learning doesn’t end with graduation and Deakin is dedicated to offering alumni opportunities for lifelong learning. For many in our community, ongoing access to information is an important part of development as you progress through your life and career.

As a student, you may have spent many pleasant hours at the Library browsing the collections, studying for exams, or making lifelong friendships.

As a Deakin Alumnus, you’re well-placed to find the information to continue your learning beyond study.

Deakin University Library offers free membership to all of our alumni; this includes borrowing of the print collection available at any of our campus libraries. If getting to campus isn’t easy for you, we also offer postal loans for $460 per year.

There’s a selection of electronic databases and other online resources available to our alumni.  These range across most discipline areas, and cover research articles through to high quality scientific images. For more information on open access online content, visit the Creative Commons Australia website.

Continue to educate yourself, to browse our collections and to explore what else is available to you online. Learning is lifelong.
