Biography

Apel Mahmud received his PhD in Electrical Engineering with the best thesis award from the University of New South Wales, Australia in 2012 and a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from RUET in 2008. Currently he is working as a lecturer in electrical & renewable energy engineering at Deakin University, Australia. He also worked as a lecturer in electrical & electronic engineering at Swinburne University of Technology, a research fellow at the University of Melbourne, and a research publication fellow at the University of New South Wales.

His research interests include different aspects of microgrids, transactive energy management, power system stability and control, and nonlinear control theories.
