Biography
Professor Asim Bhatti has prioneered and leads the area of Neural and Cognititive Systems at Deakin University. His research interests involve understanding the mechanims of brain and how it correlates with the behaviour of the organism. This research involves investigation of brain at cell level to observe the variations subject to external stimuli. Similarly how these stimuli and associated funtional variations at cell level effect the physiological and cognitive behaviour of the individuals.
Prof Bhatti's research and development work also involves quantification of teams human-human, human-machine and human-AI. This work involves investigatio of factors that makes a team effective or ineffective employing varierty of simulated and actual operational scenarios as well as physiological monitoring. This work has led to varitety of funded collaborations with a number of Government and Non-government organisations.
Prof Bhatti is inventor of many technologies, at various levels or maturity, currently adopted in domain inlcuding medical, public Health, manufacuring, transportation and defence. He is involved in number of successful technology spin-offs operating globally.
