Biography

Dr. Bahadorreza Ofoghi is a Senior Lecturer at Deakin University, School of of Information Technology. After completing his PhD on natural language question answering systems in 2009, Bahadorreza worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at Victoria University and The Victorian Institute of Sport where he published a number of scientific articles on Bayesian modelling in elite sports. Dr. Ofoghi had a short industrial experience with a major North American company in Montreal, Canada in 2013 and upon his return to Australia, he joined National ICT Australia and then The University of Melbourne where he carried out research on the applications of knowledge engineering, machine learning, and visualization techniques in health informatics. Bahadorreza has had research collaborations with several high profile organizations within Australia and overseas in recent years, including The Victoria State's Department of Health and Human Services, The Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre, The Australian Institute of Judicial Administration, and The Defence Science and Technology Group.
