Kelly is a Teaching Scholar in the Deakin Law School. Her teaching interests lie in Defamation Law, Torts Law, Competition Law and Legal Practice & Ethics.

Prior to joining Deakin, Kelly was in private practice for a number of years, originally specialising in Commercial Litigation at a well-known Melbourne law firm. She appeared regularly in both the Federal Court and the Federal Circuit Court, before moving into Property & Commercial law.

Kelly obtained her Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Deakin University and her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law, Australia.
