Prior to joining Deakin University Margaret practised in the fields of commercial law, commercial litigation and industrial law. Margaret has continued to maintain her professional qualification and profile as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia. She maintains strong links with the business and professional communities and was a government appointment to the Board of South West Healthcare. Since commencing at Deakin University Margaret has taught Constitutional Law, Corporate Law, Legal Principles, Business Law and Marketing Law and has received various awards for teaching and student support. In addition, she has researched and published in the fields of constitutional law, competition law and commercial law, some of which has received judicial and Law Reform Institute citation. Upon graduation, Margaret was awarded the Supreme Court Prize and Supreme Court Exhibition. Before commencing her law degree Margaret had a career in senior human resource management in both human resources and industrial relations.
