Enthusiastic academic with over 15 years of experience in teaching and research in the disciplines of accounting and auditing in Australian and international universities. I have the expertise in teaching financial accounting, financial reporting and auditing and obtained more than 95% evaluations from students. Furthermore, I have considerable experience in unit chairing, unit development and unit enhancement in terms of designing assignments including case studies, writing examinations and creative designing of teaching materials to attract student attention to subjects.

My proven research skills reflect in publications in high ranked quality journals in areas of accounting education; professionalism in accounting and financial reporting. I have published several articles in Accounting Education: An International Journal; Accounting Research Journal and Asian Review of Accounting. My research in progress includes an article resubmitted after the second round revision to The International Journal of Accounting (rank A journal).

I currently am involved in many research projects with Deakin colleagues with a view to publish more articles in high ranked quality journals. I have contributed to Deakin internationalisation, in terms of developing strategic partnership with a Sri Lankan university. Further to this, I contribute to the Faculty being a part of the teams of show cause hearing and credit prior learning committees.
