Biography
Sam Cusumano is a Senior Lecturer in Deakin Law School. Sam has been a lecturer within Deakin Law School since the inception of the LLB program at Deakin University and is one of the longest-serving members of staff. He has taught a wide variety of subjects including Contract Law, Sport and the Law, Civil Procedure and ADR, Restitution Law, Land Law, Property Law, Succession Law, Equity & Trusts and Commercial Law. His passion is his teaching. Sam has a reputation of being an excellent lecturer and very much dedicated to his students.
He is also Chair of the Faculty of the Business and Law Student Misconduct Committee at Deakin University and has held that position for a number of years.
His other passion is his voluntary participation in sport tribunals. He is a member of the following tribunals: VFL, AFL (Vic), AFL (Vic Country), Tennis Victoria and the Northern Football League Tribunal. Sam is required to hear cases involving disciplinary issues and also appeals from players and officials in the sports of football and tennis.
