Biography summary
Since her commencement as a Lecturer in Architecture at School of A+B Deakin University (2017), Sanja Rodeš has supervised more than 15 Master student theses, and has been involved in teaching, coordinating and revising of multiple units. In 2019, she was elected as Higher Degrees by Research Coordinator (2020-present).
Rodeš is actively participating in architectural academic community by attending conferences and symposiums (some of which are Interstices Under Construction Symposium and SAHANZ Conferences) and by publishing in journals. She is also a peer reviewer for Fabrications: The Journal of the Society of Architectural Historians, Australia and New Zealand (2019 - present). Rodeš is a current member of Architecture VACANCY Lab (2020-present) led by A/Prof Mirjana Lozanovska. She received a book contract from Routledge to publish her PhD research (Sanja Rodeš, Architecture and the Image at the Turn of the 21st Century (forthcoming, 2024), and was an external editor and contributor (Serbia) for Lori A. Brown and Karen Burns (eds.), The Bloomsbury Global Encyclopaedia of Women in Architecture 1960-2015 (forthcoming, 2024).
Rodeš was teaching as sessional academic at the School of Environment, Department of Architecture at Griffith University (2012-2016), and at the School of Architecture at University of Queensland (2016). After the completion of her master studies (2009), she was employed at the School of Architecture at University of Belgrade in Serbia (2010-2011). While working in Belgrade, she collaboratively won prizes in architectural and urban planning competitions.
