The research proposes a portfolio-based dynamic hedging strategy that is more effective at reducing portfolio risk than the static strategies commonly adopted by fund managers.  Wei's ongoing research projects in this area considers return generation as an additional hedging objective of investors, and incorporate the latest findings in the area of currency research.

Wei also works in the area of corporate governance, corporate cash holdings, firm investment efficiency, funds allocations, institutional holdings and has interest in the broad area of corporate finance.
