Child care and early learning

If you’re relocating with a young family and require child care we suggest you look into what type of child care you’re seeking and the costs associated. Childcare options can range from community childcare centres to in-home care, which vary greatly in cost.

Choosing child care

Child care can be a difficult decision for parents to make and due to high demand, childcare waiting lists are common. We suggest you investigate child care well in advance of relocating to Deakin.

MyChild

The Australian Government MyChild website has search options on varying types of child care. It also has advice on how to find and contact childcare providers throughout Australia.

Did you know Australia provides eligible parents with a childcare benefit or childcare rebate? This may not apply to certain visa types, and we advise you contact the MyChild website to assess your eligibility.
