Deakin has achieved excellent results in the Australian Research Council 2010 awards, winning 13 Discovery and 10 Linkage Round 1 awards - the highest number in several years. The wins place Deakin 16th in the number of Discovery grants awarded and equal 6th in the number of Linkage grants awarded amongst Australian Universities.

Scholarship win nothing to Snort at

eSecurity scholarship winners

Deakin lecturer receives Order of Australia medal
On Australia Day 2009, Dr Rodney Arambewela, a marketing lecturer from the School of Management and Marketing, was awarded the Order of Australia medal for his service to the Sri Lankan community through helping to develop cultural and educational programs, and promoting Australia-Sri Lanka business relations.

Deakin scores well in Learning and Teaching Performance Fund

Deakin research team receives almost $1.3 million in research funding for world-first study
A research team led by Professor James Dunbar from Deakin's School of Medicine has been awarded almost $1.3 million under the National Health and Medical Research Council's Partnership for Better Health Grants scheme - the largest allocation in Victoria. The funding will contribute to a world-first research program across Victoria and South Australia which aims to reduce the risk of pregnant women developing diabetes later in their life.
