About Deakin

Business and Law staff spaces

Business and Law faculty staff recently moved into Levels 2 and 3 of the Sally Walker Building at the Waterfront Campus, accessible from Cunningham Street and Western Beach Road. These levels were reconfigured in 2012 to provide a variety of work spaces, meeting rooms, kitchen facilities and break out areas. Business and Law Reception is on Level 2.

Originally a woolstore, The Sally Walker Building was transformed into six levels with a central light-filled atrium and a new facade on Cunningham Street after its acquisition by Deakin University.

Completely renovated in 2011 and 2012, this building provides workspaces, meeting rooms, a Council Chamber function space, and break out areas for staff to meet informally across levels 4, 5 and 6. The new staff lounge on Level 6 boasts kitchen facilities, wifi access, lounge spaces, chairs and benches and a large wall-mounted TV screen. This is a great place for staff to mingle and enjoy a coffee while taking in the spectacular views over Corio Bay.
