Committees of Academic Board

Regulation 2.2(1)-The Academic Board empowers the Board to appoint such committees as it sees fit.  The Academic Board has established five standing committees and one subcommittee to undertake the detailed work of the Board.  The terms of reference and composition of the standing committees are available from the links below.

Standing committees of the Academic Board meet at varying times throughout the year.

The Academic Board has approved the roles and responsibilities of each position associated with it, including those of committee chairs and members.

Committee name Description Background information
Academic Programs Committee The Academic Programs Committee is responsible to the Academic Board for assuring the academic standard, coherence and relevance of all higher education coursework and vocational education and training awards.
Research and Research Training Committee The Research and Research Training Committee is responsible to the Academic Board for providing vision and leadership in relation to research and research training.
Teaching and Learning Committee The Teaching and Learning Committee is responsible to the Academic Board for assuring the academic standard, coherence and relevance of all aspects of teaching and learning in relation to higher eduction awards.
