Alfred Deakin Research Institute's Director, Professor David Lowe, is featured as one of Australia's inspired thinkers and leaders on the MTV-initiated 'Brains Trust'.

The aim of MTV's Movement (of which 'Brains Trust' is a part) is to highlight issues that matter to young people and lead social action to improve the future of Australia. The campaign will provide a platform for one person to become the voice of a powerful generation that needs to be heard.

Movement launched on the UN International Day of Democracy, September 15, 2013 and runs until November 14, 2013.

Along with the search for the 'Millennial Leader', Movement will also work to gather information and opinions about what young Australians value and their sense of empowerment – encouraging participating in conversations around values and promoting social action.

As a part of the greater Movement scheme, 'Brains Trust' is all about effective leadership and positive social action. It is a group of inspired thinkers and leaders set up to share insights with the Millennial Leader after he or she is elected. The group includes creatives, strategists, business and community leaders, as well as social entrepreneurs, activists, marketers and experts in communications and technology.
