The Alfred Deakin Prime Ministerial Library, Sally Walker Building, Geelong Waterfront Campus contains a purpose-built gallery space of approximately 83 square metres with 40-45 metres of hanging space, including four freestanding movable walls. The gallery has its own airconditioning and humidity controls, specialised track and ambient lighting, a security system and a dedicated secure curatorial space for crate acclimitization. The gallery will house a variety of exhibitions, some curated by the Deakin University Art Collection and Galleries Unit and others sourced from external cultural institutions.
An exhibition arranged by the Deakin University School of Communication and Creative Arts in connection with the World Congress on Communication and the Arts will be on display in April 2013.
