The Royal Society is Victoria's oldest learned society. The aim of the Society is to promote the advancement of science and technology for the good of the Victorian community. The Society's library, including its unique collection on the natural history and resources of Victoria and donated collections such as Dr Phillip Law's Polar Library, were housed in the Special Collection in the Melbourne Campus Library at Burwood. Building works at Burwood mean that the collection is now housed in stack at the Waurn Ponds Library.
Items held in the Royal Society Collection are listed in the Library Catalogue. Material from this Collection has the prefix:
GEELONG STACK SPROV
Items from the collection may be ordered and used at the reading room, Alfred Deakin Prime Ministerial Library, Waterfront Campus.
