Deakin University
The Central Alumni Office is established to oversee, provide specialised support for and co-ordinate the alumni activities and communications of the members, chapters and interest groups that form part of the Deakin University Alumni Community.
Alastair Lee
Alumni Coordinator
Alastair has coordinated the Deakin Central Alumni Office since it
was established in March 2004.
A Deakin commerce (1996) and law graduate (1998), Alastair was employed by the Deakin Marketing Division in 2001 as a Marketing Officer where he was responsible for coordinating the undergraduate marketing campaigns for Deakin in the Geelong, Warrnambool, central highlands, western suburbs and south western regions of Victoria.
Prior to coming to work for Deakin, Alastair was a barrister and solicitor for three years in the litigation department of Clarke and Barwood Lawyers based in Geelong and Colac. He practiced in family, criminal, debt recovery and property law.
Alastair is also a member of the Deakin School of Law, School Accounting, Economics and Finance and Golden Key chapters.

Peter Day
Manager of Services, Relationships and Alumni
Peter is the Manager of Services, Relationships and Alumni Unit within the Marketing Division. Peter has held several roles since joining Deakin in 2001 including Manager of the Undergraduate and Post Graduate recruitment units.
Prior to coming to work for Deakin, Peter was Corporate Marketing Manager for RMIT University and had a long career in the energy industry specialising in sales and marketing management within companies undergoing major changes. He was the foundation marketing manager for Eastern Energy at a time when it was the largest energy retailer in Victoria (now TRU energy) and at The Gas and Fuel Corporation (Central Region) during the deregulation of the energy industry in the 1990's.
Peter is a graduate of Swinburne and RMIT Universities with a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration 1991 (Swinburne) and a Master of Applied Science (Innovation and Service Management) 1999 (RMIT) .
His current role reflects the importance that Deakin is placing on its alumni and community partnerships going forward.
