Deakin University's Central Alumni Office ran three events for Alumni members to farewell the historic Campus.
For those who graduated from, or worked at the Melbourne Campus at Toorak in recent times or even when it was known as Victoria College, Toorak State College or Toorak Teachers College, the events provided an opportunity to visit the Campus.
The Central Alumni Office held guided tours followed by morning tea on 13 and 27 September 2007 and a cocktail reception on 19 September at Stonington mansion.
Alumni Coordinator, Alastair Lee said the three events gave Deakin's Alumni a final opportunity to say goodbye and celebrate the many years of education history at Toorak.
'These events were very successful celebrations of the unique contribution that the Campus has made to education in Victoria and provided one last opportunity for graduates and staff from all eras to pay a final visit and catch up with friends, former classmates and families,' he said.
The farewell events were attended by over 300 Toorak Alumni.
