How do I volunteer to be a mentor?
As an Alumni member with at least 3 years of relevant work experience you can play a vital role in shaping the professional future of current students, staff and/or other Alumni.
There are many advantages in being an Alumni mentor including:
- Helping mentees to enhance their career development and prospects
- Gaining an insight into the latest education and employment trends and graduate skills
- Having a chance to further develop your own communication and leadership skills and industry knowledge
- Obtaining a new perspective on your professional and personal experiences
- It is a great addition to your resume
- Provides you satification in helping others and
- Provides opportunities to engage with the global Deakin Alumni Community
