Welcome to the April 2012 issue of The Deakin Times - your monthly Alumni eNews service.

Firstly, congratulations and welcome to our newest Alumni members who graduated during our recent ceremonies in Warrnambool – it is great to now have you join our ranks.

In this month’s issue, we preview Deakin’s research into red meat and its positive effects on moods, read about a Deakin researcher’s call for the re-introduction of Dingos and Tasmanian Devils into Australian habitats and find out about how Facebook is helping the dead to live on. We also catch up for a chat with professional big wave surfer and recent MBA graduate Jeff Rowley. There are also details about some great Alumni events coming up soon in Melbourne, Geelong, Adelaide and China that I encourage you to attend. These events will provide you with some great professional development as well as networking opportunities.

Wishing you and your family a happy and safe Easter.
