In this issue, find out about Deakin’s research findings into male obesity, read how kids are improving their motor skills by playing interactive video games, read about Deakin’s research into junior AFL football and how migrants are an untapped resource in the formation of Australia’s global relations policies.
If you haven’t already done so, please take a few minutes to complete our triennial Deakin Alumni Survey for your chance to win one of two travel vouchers valued at $500 each. Your survey feedback will be invaluable in helping us shape the development of the Deakin Alumni program both now and into the future.
I also encourage you to get involved in the various events coming up over the next month in places like Geelong, Warrnambool, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Singapore as part of DeakinWeek, Deakin Open Day 2012 and our annual Alumni events program.
Lastly, congratulations to all our Deakin Olympians who represented their country so well in London over the past few weeks and we wish our Paralympians all the very best as they begin their quest for gold later this month.
