The Deakin Times - February 2012

The Deakin Times logo

Welcome to the first issue of The Deakin Times for 2012 - your monthly Alumni eNews service.

This year promises once again to be an exciting and active one for the Deakin Alumni program - now in its eighth year of operation and with over 40,000 active members globally.

Deakin continues to offer one of the largest arrays of benefits and services of any Australian institution. This year you will have access to over 100 events  around the world, plus over 30 different services and benefits currently on offer. Therefore I encourage you to be actively involved with the program over 2012 - whether it’s for career development, networking opportunities, Alumni volunteering opportunities, student mentoring or even further study.

Nominations are also now open for our annual Deakin Alumni Community Awards and I encourage you to nominate deserving Alumni for these prestigious Awards. Nominations close 1 June 2012.

I otherwise hope 2012 is a fantastic one for you and I look forward to hopefully hearing from you soon or even seeing you at some of our Alumni events this year.

Best wishes,

Alastair Lee
Alumni Relations Manager
