Alumni Postgraduate Course Fee Subsidy – enrol today
Deakin Alumni members, their spouse and children can receive 5% off the cost per unit on postgraduate studies on all new course enrolments for Trimesters 1 and 2 in 2013. Find out more.

Deakin Career Mentoring Program expands
From today all current staff and enrolled students can now tap into the expertise of Deakin’s Alumni by applying to be mentored by one of over 700 Alumni mentors. For more information visit Deakin Career Mentoring Program.

Deakin Alumni of the Year Awards 2013
Nominations are open for the Deakin Alumni of the Year Awards 2013. The Awards recognise, acknowledge and promote Alumni around the world who have achieved outstanding success. Nominations close 1 June 2013. For more information or to make a nomination visit Deakin Alumni Awards 2013.

Jewish Holocaust Centre signs MOU with Deakin
On 1 February a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Deakin and the Jewish Holocaust Centre in Elsternwick Victoria. Find out more.

Deakin Cheerleading Team places second in the US
The Deakin Cheerleading Team has placed second in the 2013 UCA/UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team Championships held recently in Florida USA. The team consisted of both Alumni and current students. View Deakin’s performance.

Alumni in the news…
David Parkin OAM (1963 TTC), who received a Medal of the Order of Australia as part of the 2013 Australia Day Honours List for 'service to the sport of Australian rules football as an administrator, coach and player'. David is currently an Adjunct Professor with Deakin’s Faculty of Health.

Rose Falla (2002) was recently appointed to the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria. Ms Falla is Victoria’s first ever indigenous Magistrate.

Geoff Heriot (1976 and 2006), has recently released his book, In the South: Tales of Sail and Yearning. For more information visit
