Deakin Alumni Community Awards – FINAL CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
The new Deakin University Alumni Community Awards will be awarded for the first time during tri-semester 2, 2011 and you are invited to nominate Alumni members for these Awards. Deakin’s Alumni Community Awards aim to recognise, acknowledge and promote prominent Alumni around the world who have achieved outstanding success. Alumni in the news
Deakin graduate Dr Alex Bremner (2001) has recently received a prestigious award in the United States recognising his published work in architectural history. The Master of Architecture graduate was presented with the Founders' Award Prize by the Society of Architectural Historians in New Orleans. Read more.

The Port Campbell Community Group Inc  has received a Finalist Award in the Victorian Coastal Awards for Excellence 2011 in recognition for the group’s efforts and leadership in conserving and protecting Port Campbell headland’s natural and cultural assets. Members of the PCCG Executive include Deakin Alumni  Terry Swanson (2007), Dr Marion Manifold (2002) and current Deakin staff member Don Swanson.
