Welcome to the 2011 October issue of The Deakin Times - your monthly Deakin Alumni e-news service.

Firstly is my great pleasure to be able to announce to you the inaugural winners of the Deakin Alumni of the Year Awards 2011. Congratulations to the following Alumni members:

Deakin Alumni iPad 2 Competition – ENTER NOW

Deakin Postgraduate Information Nights - REGISTER NOW
Come to one of our Postgraduate information nights this month and find out why Deakin is the right choice for your postgraduate study. Course advisers will be available to provide information and answer questions about courses, career prospects, flexible study options, admission requirements, fees and the application process. Deakin University Ticketmaster Arts Management Alumni Prize 2011
The Arts Management Alumni Chapter in conjunction with Ticketmaster is again awarding a $15,000 grant to facilitate the professional development of a future arts leader. How to be an entrepreneur in your own organisation – Seminar and Networking Evening

Presented by Professor Howard Frederick, Chair in Entrepreneurship Education in the Faculty of Business and Law at Deakin, you will learn about the concept of personal intrapreneurship (entrepreneurship) and the strategies you need to employ to help you understand and develop a successful entrepreneurial mindset and skill base to succeed in the corporate world. This is an event not to be missed.

Dealing with Conflict: Tools for Success - Seminar and Networking Evening (Hobart)
