Welcome to the October 2013 issue of The Deakin Times - your monthly Deakin Alumni Community eNews bulletin. I especially congratulate our newest Alumni members who graduated recently in Geelong.

2013 Brookes Oration
The Brookes Oration was established by the Deakin Business School in 2006 to encourage thoughtful debate about the contribution of corporate Australia in the global community.

Mr Paul Bassat, Co-founder and Major Share Holder of Square Peg Capital and Founder and Former Chief Executive Officer of SEEK, will deliver the 2013 Brookes Oration. Find out more.

Australia China Alumni Association Awards 2013
Congratulations to two Deakin Alumni who have been named as finalists in the 2013 ACAA awards including, Marin Burela (1985) and Conrad Singh (1998). Winners will be announced at the ACAA Gala Dinner on 2 November. For more information about our Deakin Alumni finalists visit ACAA Awards 2013.
