Deakin Alumnus wins award in India
Deakin Alumnus and Indian model Sahil Shroff (BCom 2002), has taken out the prestigious Outstanding Young Alumni Award at the 2011 Australian Alumni Excellence Awards held recently in Chennai India. Read more.
$15,000 Deakin University Ticketmaster Arts Management Alumni Prize 2011 The Arts Management Alumni Chapter in conjunction with Ticketmaster is again awarding a $15,000 grant to facilitate the professional development of a future arts leader. Australia China Alumni Association Awards 2011
Nominations are open for the annual ACAA Awards. To be held in Beijing, the Awards aim to recognise and celebrate the achievements of successful China-based Alumni across a variety of fields from all Australian universities. Vietnamese Graduates from Australia Club Awards 2011
Nominations are open for the inaugural VGAC Awards 2011. To be held in Hanoi, the Awards honour Vietnamese graduates from Australian education institutions whose talents and contributions have enriched and benefited Vietnam in fields such as art and culture, innovation and research, business and education. United Kingdom Alumni events 2012 – send us your feedback
Following on from Deakin’s inaugural Alumni event recently held in London, the Central Alumni Office is planning further London events in 2012 and is seeking feedback from all Alumni living in the UK and Europe on ideas for possible venues, guest speakers, topics and preferred timings. New MBA unit in Managing Environmental Sustainability
The Deakin Graduate School of Business will be offering this new unit during Trimester 3, 2011. The unit can be taken as an elective unit in postgraduate courses both on and off campus. Professional Practice unit – School of Information Systems
The Deakin School of Information Systems has a Professional Practice unit, where real life business issues are given to students as part of their studies. The School is seeking case studies or actual business issues which you or your organisation may be facing for this. Dealing with Conflict: Tools for Success - Seminar and Networking Evening (Hobart)

Presented by Jamie Sedgman from Paramount Training & Development, you will learn about the tools you can employ to deal with difficult people in the workforce and life generally.
