Deakin Paralympians take London by storm
Deakin’s Paralympians have proudly and successfully represented Australia in style at the recent 2012 Paralympic Games held in London with several taking home medals. Special congratulations go to:
Richard Colman OAM (2010), who won Gold in the T53 800m Wheelchair Sprint and Bronze in the 400m Wheelchair Sprint and 4 X 400m Relay.
Cobi Crispin (student), who won Silver as part of the Australian Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Team.
Madeleine Hogan (student), who won Bronze in the Women’s F46 Javelin event by throwing a personal best of 38.85m.

2012 Richard Searby Oration
The 2012 Richard Searby Oration will be held on Tuesday 25 September 2012 from 6.30 pm at BMW Edge, Federation Square in Melbourne and all Deakin Alumni are invited to attend. Dr Guy Debelle, Assistant Governor (Financial Markets), Reserve Bank of Australia, will deliver the 2012 oration entitled Credo et Fido: Credit and Trust. The Cross Generational Workplace - Seminar and Networking evening
