Deakin University Alumni Community Awards

Deakin's Alumni Community Awards, recognise, acknowledge and promote prominent Alumni around the world who have achieved outstanding success in the following areas:

  • Service to their profession

  • Service to the community and/or

  • Service to Deakin University


Award categories

There are two Alumni award categories:

Alumni of the Year Awards - for Alumni aged 30 years or over at the time of nomination and

Young Alumni of the Year Awards - for Alumni under 30 years of age at the time of nomination


Award nominations

Nominations for both categories of the 2012 Alumni Awards will be open from 1 December 2011 and will close 5pm (EST) 1 June 2012.

Alumni may self nominate or be nominated for an award. Applications will be accepted only when submitted on the prescribed Alumni Award Application Form. All nomination forms must be forwarded to the Central Alumni Office upon completion.

Closing dates for Award nominations for 2012

5pm EST, Friday 1 June 2012


Award presentations

Award recipients will be honoured at a nominated Round 2 graduation or other award ceremony that may be held domestically or internationally. Up to six awards may be given in each category per year.


Award Guidelines

The Central Alumni Office manages the Alumni Community Awards according to the Deakin Alumni Awards Guidelines (111 KB).
