Discussion forum - rules for users
Messages must not contain inappropriate or offensive material. The Deakin University Central Alumni Office reserves the right to remove any notices which it considers inappropriate and suspend indefinitely the Alumni membership or usage rights of any offending person.
It is inappropriate to post messages that:
- Contain, promote, or link to sexually explicit or violent material;
- Promote, depict, or link to material that promotes or depicts discrimination based on race, gender, religion, national origin, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, or age;
- Post content that advertisers or promotes a private business;
- Contain unlawful material, including but not limited to materials that may violate another's intellectual property rights, or links to a site that contains such material;
- Contain information regarding or promoting illegal activity, or linking to a site that provides such information;
- Contains spam, pyramid schemes, or other unrelated advertising material;
- Are obscene, excessively violent, threatening, harassing or otherwise objectionable;
- Are deemed by the Central Alumni Office to be unsuitable for any other reason; and/or
- Denigrate Deakin University, its staff or other Alumni members
