Practical learning

Students studying in Architecture and Construction Management are able to complete practical experience through a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) unit.

Units available

SRM372 - Practical Experience Assessment A
SRM772 - Practical Experience Assessment B

Advanced planning for these units is highly recommended for students intending to enrol in a WIL unit. We suggest students begin this process at least one trimester in advance of commencement.

Visit the Deakin handbook for further information about these units.

Architecture students

The units SRM 372 (for undergraduate) and SRM 772 (postgraduate) can be undertaken as elective
units for credit towards your degree.

The Architects Registration Board (Victoria) may accept up to 12 months of relevant supervised work experience during study towards a candidate's application for registration of an architect with the ARBV.

Construction Management students

The units SRM 372 (for undergraduate) and SRM 772 (postgraduate) can be undertaken as elective
units for credit towards your degree.

The Australian Institute of Building (AIB) logbook and information on how to complete the logbook is available on the CloudDeakin sites for these units, once you have enrolled.
