How is Vocational Education and Training in Schools being used to retain Year 9 and 10 students in LOTE Japanese and German?
Hany Smith and Helen Shen are students in the Graduate Diploma of Education (Applied Learning) working in partnership with RMIT (the auspicing Registered Training Organisation) to examine how the Certificate II in Applied Language is being used in a pilot Catholic Secondary school to engage and retain Year 9 and 10 students in LOTE.
You are invited to hear about how this applied learning approach to LOTE is being implemented, and what potential it has for expansion into the senior years.
