Virtue Ethics

This Workshop brings together as many contributors to that volume as could come in order to discuss and deepen their contributions. It is hoped that as many scholars and students interested in virtue ethics will be able to come to contribute their insights to the proceedings.

15-17 October

Cross-cultural Literacy: China and Australia in the Asian Century

Marking the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Australia and China, CCG at Deakin University and the Australian Studies Centre at Renmin University of China will cohost an international conference examining cross-cultural literacy between China and Australia.

15-16 November

Reclaiming Multiculturalism: Global Citizenship and Ethical Engagement with Diversity

CCG, in partnership with the Audiovisual Media Lab for the Study of Cultures and Societies (LAMACS) at the University of Ottawa, will host the 3rd International Symposium on Multiculturalism. Participants will build on the discussions of previous CCG and LAMACS symposia and debate multicultural, intercultural and interreligious policies, practices, theories, histories and controversies.

1-3 December

Governance, Democracy and Political Parties

CCG, in partnership with the Department of Political Science at the University of Hyderabad will host a conference addressing the changing characteristics and role of political parties in governance and democracy, with a particular focus on India, Australia and other countries in Asia.
