The Cultural Heritage Centre for Asia and the Pacific (CHCAP) is closely connected with UNESCO, including its World Heritage Centre and especially its Asia Pacific Regional Office in Bangkok, Thailand. The Centre is also a member of Forum UNESCO, the Asian Academy for Heritage Management and AusHeritage.

Professor William Logan is UNESCO Chair in Heritage and Urbanism. Centre staff are also members of ICOMOS and ICOM.

The Centre draws practitioners, scholars and students across the region into collaborative projects and disseminates professional information throughout the region by means of a newsletter and conferences, educational programs, training workshops and seminars.
