What distinguishes a Public Relations at Deakin graduate?
Public Relations at Deakin provides an excellent grounding in a values-based approach to public relations. We equip our students with the critical tools to adopt sophisticated ethical approaches and develop depth of understanding to navigate and operate in contemporary organisations.
Increasingly our tertiary Public Relations graduates are employed by business, community and state organisations that operate within the ethos of corporate citizenship and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Our graduates are expected to be able to provide high level communications advice and adopt a rigorous approach to stakeholder relations. Graduates of Deakin University's Bachelor of Arts (Public Relations) who understand theoretical frameworks behind CSR and new work cultures are immensely valuable to these sophisticated organisations.
