About the PRIA
The Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) is the sole body dedicated to enhancing the stature of public relations professionals throughout the country.
It achieves this goal by representing the interests of public relations professionals, communications practitioners and consultancies to the wider community.
The PRIA offers members accreditation, provides education for life opportunities thus enhancing career options and, by extension, provides ever-improving standards to the sectors they serve.
The Institute is a storehouse of skills, knowledge and experience and is dedicated to passing these qualities to its members for the betterment of the industry.
The criteria for becoming a member include securing a PRIA accredited tertiary qualification or passing a PRIA accreditation communication. It also requires that members have at least five years full time experience in the industry to secure full professional membership.
Most importantly it insists on a personal commitment to high ethical standards.
