Media and Communication

Program overview

The Media and Communication program at Deakin is distinctive because of its cross-disciplinary perspective underpinning a broad mix of subjects. Students choose from a wide range of units that suit their particular interests.

Units studied in the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma of Media and Communication gain credit in Deakin's Master of Communication. This flexible approach to skill-building is designed to match the dynamic and unpredictable nature of the industry.

To help integrate study with work and personal commitments, Deakin has designed its media and communication postgraduate courses with flexibility and support. On and off-campus units are available, and full or part-time study modes are available (depending on units chosen).

Media and Communication courses

Deakin's Media and Communication courses are offered as an articulating suite that includes a graduate certificate, graduate diploma and master degree.
