This course is designed to consolidate and enhance skills in the understanding of colour. A series of set projects will guide participants through simple colour mixing exercises, moving to more complex studies involving the subjective and psychological effects of colour and the compositional distribution and balance of colour in painting. The series will culminate in a finished artwork demonstrating aspects of the course. Through this process participants will gain valuable experience and a newfound confidence in their exploration of colour and its application to their artform.
