This course explores the development of conceptual ideas and technical skills through the photographic image, both digital and analogue. A selection of photographic images produced during 2008 by a range of photographers will be shown giving an overview of contemporary photographic practice in Australia and in a global context. The course will concentrate on individual concept development.

Rozalind Drummond
Rozalind Drummond is a Lecturer in Photography at Deakin University, Burwood
campus. Drummond exhibits regularly in Melbourne and interstate and is undertaking
a PhD at the Australian National University, Canberra. Her research interest
is 'youth culture and public space'.
Particpants are required to bring a camera (digital or analogue). All other materials will be supplied during the course.
