Summer School program at Warrnambool

'Contemporary black and white photography'

Course Overview

This course explores the development of conceptual ideas and technical skills through the photographic image, both digital and analogue. A selection of photographic images produced during 2008 by a range of photographers will be shown giving an overview of contemporary photographic practice in Australia and in a global context. The course will concentrate on individual concept development.

About the instructor

Rozalind Drummond
Rozalind Drummond is a Lecturer in Photography at Deakin University, Burwood campus. Drummond exhibits regularly in Melbourne and interstate and is undertaking a PhD at the Australian National University, Canberra. Her research interest is 'youth culture and public space'.

 

Materials

Particpants are required to bring a camera (digital or analogue). All other materials will be supplied during the course.
