Ring Thing - This basic introductory workshop provides practical instruction in the metalworking processes behind jewellery fabrication. Within this short course participants will be introduced to the tools, techniques and principles for working with non-ferrous metal; including scribing, saw piecing, drilling, riveting, soldering and surface finishes. During the course, jewellery tools will be provided for use within the workshop and base metal* supplied for projects undertaken during the courses.

Tiffany Parbs
Tiffany Parbs is a conceptual based jeweller who has been creating jewellery
pieces for exhibition both nationally and internationally over the past
fifteen years. Parbs has worked with some of the most established contemporary
jewellery practitioners in Australia and Europe and is experienced with
a wide range of materials, jewellery techniques and problem solving. 
Pictured to the right is an example of a solution we might expect in the summer school, created by Tiffany.

• fine line waterproof marker
• pencils
• ruler
• scissors
• eraser
• paper
• closed toe shoes
• glue stick
• work shirt or fabric apron
